Air India Expresses' Headquarters Shifted to Kochi

Corporate head quarter of Air India Express was shifted from Mumbai to Kochi.

The Minister for Civil Aviation and Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on 27 February 2011 inaugurated the new corporate head quarters of Air India Express in Kochi. The headquarters which were earlier in Mumbai was shifted to Kochi, as Kerala is the biggest market of the low-cost airline. Speaking at the inaugural function, the Minister declared that Air India has kept ready more aircraft to bring home Indians from the trouble torn Libya. The Minister called upon the Kerala government to reduce the airport and fuel tax, which he said, is the highest in the country.
