    The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has partnered with Expo City Dubai to enhance international urban cooperation. The objective is to facilitate India's participation in the upcoming Asia-Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) and Mayors' Forum, scheduled for October 2025.

    Under the leadership of captain Arjun Deshwal, the Uttar Pradesh men's kabaddi team defeated Chandigarh by 57-43 in the final to win the gold medal at the 38th National Games. This is Uttar Pradesh’s second gold medal in kabaddi at the National Games in three years.

    The Indian Army has renamed its Eastern Command headquarters, Fort William in Kolkata, as 'Vijay' Durg. This decision, taken in mid-December 2024, aims to eliminate "colonial legacy" and embrace India's indigenous military history.
