1. (a) Arif Khan

Arif Khan is the sole Indian sportsperson to compete in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. The Indian skier led a small Indian contingent during the Winter Olympics 2022 opening ceremony in Beijing, China on February 4, 2022. 

2. (a) Shailaja Kumar

Shailaja Kumar became the first Indian woman to compete at the Winter Olympics by taking part in the women's slalom event in the 1988 edition in Calgary, Canada. She had finished 28th, which is the best result by any Indian. India had returned to the Winter Olympics in the 1988 edition after a long gap with a contingent of three, Shailaja Kumar, Gul Dev and Kishor Rahtna Rai.

3. (b) Karnataka 

Karnataka government has launched a self-defense training programme 'Obavva Art of Self Defence Training' for 50,000 girl students in schools and colleges.

4. (a) Pakistan

Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to visit Russia later this month in the first such trip by a Pakistani prime minister in 23 years.

Australia will be reopening its borders for fully vaccinated international tourists from February 21, 2022 after almost two years, ending one of the world's strictest and longest travel restrictions imposed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

India beat England by four wickets to win the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2022 final on February 5, 2022. India has won the Under 19 World Cup for a record fifth time, becoming the first-ever team to do so.

Hardik Pandya has been named captain of the new Ahmedabad IPL team 2022. Pandya was picked along with Rasheed Khan and Shubman Gill ahead of the mega IPL 2022 auction event.
