Barcelona 2013 15th FINA World Championship that was held from 19 July – 4 August 2013 concluded on 4 August 2013 in Barcelona. USA topped in the Championship with an overall haul of 33 medals that included 15 gold, 9 silver and 9 Bronze. It was followed by China and Russia at second and third spot respectively.

Mascot of the Barcelona 2013 15th FINA World Championship
XOP (a drop of Water) is the official mascot of the 15th FINA World Championships Barcelona 2013. Albert Mir designed the drop of water, inspired by the art of Gaudi. XOP has been elected the winner among 200 proposals that were sent to the event organizers of Barcelona 2013 as part of an online public competition.
Albert Mir, a 26-year-old designer from Menorca a freelance artist in Barcelona created the Mascot XOP. Mir was inspired by the great Catalan artist Antoni Gaudi, working six weeks on the creation of the mascot.
The next FINA World Championship is scheduled to be held in Kazan Russia in 2015.
