Haryana hiked DA Rate from Existing 72 Percent to 80 Percent

Haryana announced an increase in rate of dearness allowance (DA) to its employees from 72 percent at present to 80 percent.

Haryana government on 2 May 2013 announced an increase in rate of dearness allowance (DA) payable to state government employees from 72 percent at present to 80 percent. The revised DA will be given in cash with effect from 1 January 2013.

The 8 Percent increase was made in dearness allowance of Haryana government employees on the pattern of Central government employees. The hike in DA will put an annual burden of Rs 420 crore on state exchequer.
