Kalpataru Power Transmission on 25 April 2011 announced that it secured orders from Ukraine's state company NEC Ukrenergo. The international division of Kalpataru Power Transmission won a turnkey contract from NEC to construct a 750 kV, 353-km transmission line from Rivnenska nuclear power station to Kyiv worth about Rs 825 crore. The project is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company has also awarded Kalpataru a Rs 457-crore order for the construction of a 400 kV Babhaleshwar-to-Kudos 200-km line and 400 kV Padge-to-Tarapur line of 4 km.
The company bagged a Rs 42-crore contract from Millenium Challenge Account – Tanzania for design, supply and construction of 132 kV transmission line of 41 km to connect Zanzibar Inter-connector.
The order book of the company looks well-diversified in terms of international, private, SEBs and PGCIL orders, which also reduces concentration risks. On a standalone basis, the company's order book stands at over of Rs 6000 crore.
