Longest women's match that lasted for 4 hours 44 mins during the Australian Open on 23 January 2011.

Francesca Schiavone defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova in the longest Grand Slam women's match during the Australian Open on 23 January 2011. The longest women's tennis match was played at Hisense Arena, Melbourne Park's second-biggest court. The longest women's tennis match  lasted 4hr 44min outstripping the previous record by 25min.The final set alone lasted three hours as the 6-4, 1-6, 16-14 marathon eclipsed the longest Grand Slam women's match of 4hr 19min between Barbora Zahlavova Strycova and Regina Kulikova in 2010.
