Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd on 27 February 2014 launched electric car e2o in Thimphu, Bhutan. The company has also signed an MoU with the Government of Bhutan for a strategic partnership to promote the usage of electric vehicles in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The e2o has is the future ready all electric zero emission urban mobility solution and its launch in the country is a part of the commitment of the company with Bhutan to partner with its vision to create a sustainable, clean and green society.
As per the signed MoU, Mahindra will establish infrastructure including set-up of a service stations for swappable batteries for the customers of the car.
The e2o Mahindra will be available in three variants
• Base model it will be priced for at 6.99 Ngultrum ex-showrooms Bhutan
• 7.99 Ngultrum (ex-showroom Bhutan) for the premium variant
• 8.39 Ngultrum (ex-showroom Bhutan) for the premium variant with Quick2Charge
