McKinsey & Company released a report on Indian banks which stated that five to Six Indian banks would make it to the top 100 global league (the world’s top 100 banks) in the upcoming decade. The report by McKinsey further added that, the banking sector in India registered unprecedented growth. Revenues from banking sector grew from 11.8 billion US dollars to 46.9 billion US dollars in 2010. The McKinsey report predicted that Indian banking is expected to continue growing at 18 to 20 percent. It will result into India increasing its revenue share in global banking revenue collection, from 1.5 percent in 2009 to 2.8 percent in 2015.
