International Day of Peace 2017 observed across the world
The International Day of Peace was observed across the world on 21 September 2017 with the theme Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All.

The theme honours the spirit of TOGETHER, a global initiative that promotes respect, safety and dignity for everyone forced to flee their homes in search of a better life.

Initiated during the United Nations Summit for Refugees and Migrants on 19 September 2016, TOGETHER initiative unites the organizations of the United Nations System, the 193 Member States of the United Nations, civil society and individual citizens in support of non-discrimination of refugees and migrants.

Government to introduce 'Food Street' at global food fair in New Delhi
With an aim to attract investment in the food processing sector under the Make in India initiative, the government has decided to introduce a curated food experience zone 'Food Street' at the global food fair in November in New Delhi.

Chef Sanjeev Kapoor will be the brand ambassador of the event at the World Food India 2017 that will be held between 3 November and 5 November 2017. The Food Street will act as a platform for the investors to taste the food and then take a call on investing in India under the 'Make in India'.

Union Textiles Minister to inaugurate VASTRA 2017
The 6th edition of the 4-day international textile and apparel fair, 'VASTRA 2017' will be inaugurated in Jaipur on 21 September 2017 at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura.

The fair will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Textiles and Information & Broadcasting Smriti Zubin Irani and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

This all-encompassing trade fair and conference on Textiles and Apparel will present a fusion of the finest and the latest in textile products from fiber to fashion, services and technology.
