Recreational Marijuana businesses collected 2 million $ to Colorado in January 2014
US state, Colorado in January 2014 collected 2 million dollars as taxes from the newly legalized recreational marijuana business.
Newly legalized recreational marijuana business in January 2014 has helped Colorado state of US to collect 2 million dollars in taxes.
Colorado in 2012 became the first US state to legalise the commercial sale of cannabis and it opened stores for business on 1 January 2014.
As per the report, the tax returns were filed by 59 marijuana firms on an estimated 14 million Dollars in sales. When medical marijuana firms are also included than, overall the state collected 3.5 million dollars in marijuana taxes.
