Republic Day 2022 Guidelines: Full List of guidelines and security measures ahead of R-Day Parade

Republic Day Parade: As India prepares for the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2022, the Delhi Police on January 24 released a set of guidelines for people who will be attending the upcoming parade. Apart from releasing the Republic Day 2022 guidelines, the Delhi Police also informed about the number of security measures that have been put into place ahead of Republic Day 2022. Amid the increasing numbers of COVID-19 in India, the authorities are also requesting people to adhere to all the COVID protocols for their own safety and for others.

Republic Day Parade 2022 Guidelines

1. People attending the Republic Day 2022 Parade must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Visitors must be vaccinated with both doses and are also requested to bring their vaccination certificates.

2. Children below the age of 15 years will not be allowed to attend the R-Day parade.

3. People will have to follow all the COVID-19 protocols, such as maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks at the programme on Rajpath on January 26.

4. On Republic Day 2022, the seating blocks will be open for the visitors at 7 am and they are also requested to arrive accordingly.

5. Since the parking will be limited, the visitors have been advised by the Delhi Police to use a carpool or taxi. They are also requested to cooperate during security checks and are requested to carry a valid identity card.

Security Measures on Republic Day 2022

1. The Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana informed that more than 27,000 personnel of the force have been deployed for security duty and the anti-terror measures have also been intensified ahead of R-Day celebrations.

2. Delhi Police is also getting assistance from 65 companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).

3. Anti-terror measures are intensified comprising of the checking of hotels, vehicles, blockades of several locations among others.

4. Delhi Police has also been putting out facts so that no anti-social elements can run misinformation campaigns.

5. The police have also issued a traffic advisory stating the restrictions on routes so that people do not face any inconvenience.
