Roger Federer beats Rafael Nadal to win 18th Grand Slam title

Roger Federer on 29 January 2017 won the 2017 Australian Open Men’s Singles title.

The 35-year-old Swiss defeated Rafael Nadal 6-4 3-6 6-1 3-6 6-3 to claim his 18th Grand Slam and fifth Melbourne title.

He has won 14 Grand Slam singles titles, the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles, 28 titles in ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events, and 17 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments.
