Sagar Sarhadi to be honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at IFFP

Renowned scriptwriter Sagar Sarhadi will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the second edition of the International Film Festival of Prayag (IFFP). The festival will be held in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh from 26 February to 28 February 2016.

Sarhadi will be honoured at the festival for his contribution to Hindi cinema over the years.

About Sagar Sarhadi

Born in Abbottabad, Pakistan, Sagar Sarhadi is an Indian short story, play writer, director and producer.

He started his career by writing short stories and then continued as a playwright.

His directorial Bazaar starring Smita Patil, Farooq Sheikh and Naseeruddin Shah was a critically acclaimed film.

He rose to success with Yash Chopra's film Kabhi Kabhi.

About International Film Festival of Prayag

The International Film Festival of Prayag is a festival organised in the city of Allahabad, India.

The first edition of this film festival was held between February 26 and February 28 2015.

Veteran actor Om Puri was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in the first edition of the award.

IFFP was institutionalised with the sole objective of giving a platform to the aspiring filmmakers from the North region of the country.
