Serbia won its first Davis cup title on 5 December 2010, by defeating France 3-2 at Belgrade. In reverse singles Novak Djokovic of Serbia defeated Gael Monfils of France by 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 while Victor Troicki of Serbia defeated Michael Llodra of France by 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 to give his nation the Davis cup victory over France.
Earlier in straight singles, J.Tipsarevic of Serbia was defeated by G Monfils of France while Noval Djokovic beat G Simon of France. In Doubles matches Serbia pair N Zimonjic and V. Troicki had lost to French pair A Clement and M Llodra.
