Tata Steel topped the List of Most Admired Indian Brand

A survey compiled by Fortune India and global management consultancy Hay Group which was released on 13 March 2012, revealed Tata Steel as the most admired brand in India.

The survey which was conducted between October 2011 and January 2012, came out with the list of top 50 companies on the basis of a survey of 507 executives across 291 companies.

Several factors viz. corporate governance, financial soundness, leadership, talent management and corporate social responsibility were taken into account while preparing the list of top 50 companies.

Tata Steel, which was established in 1907 is world's leading steel producer, with operations in 26 countries and a commercial presence in over 50 countries. Company’s annual turnover in financial year 2010-11 was 26.64 billion dollar.
