Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Vladivostok, the far-east region of Russia. The Prime Minister will be participating in the annual India-Russia Annual Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as attend the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok during his two-day visit.

Teacher’s Day is celebrated across India on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on September 5, 1988.

Virat Kohli has lost his number 1 ICC Test ranking to Steve Smith. The former Australian captain reclaimed the top spot, toppling the Indian skipper after Kohli scored a duck in the second innings of the second test match against West Indies in Jamaica.

E-commerce giant Amazon India recently announced to eliminate single-use plastic from its packaging by June 2020. The move came after PM Narendra Modi urged people to avoid the use of single-use plastic in order to protect the environment.
