Bandra-Worli Sea Link

The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was opened for public on June 30. Officially called the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, it is a cable-stayed bridge with prestressed concrete viaduct approaches.

Bandra-Worli Sea Link                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was opened for public on June 30. Officially called the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, it is a cable-stayed bridge with prestressed concrete viaduct approaches. It links Bandra and western suburbs of Mumbai with Worli and central Mumbai. The sea link reduces travel time between Bandra and Worli from 60-80 minutes to 7 minutes. The bridge is around 5.6 km long and 63 times the height of the Qutub Minar. The Rs. 1600 crore project of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) was initiated  more than 10 years ago in 1999.
