SBI issues advisory ahead of Bank Strike Sept 28–30, 2026, warning customers of disruption. Digital banking, ATMs remain active as unions plan nationwide protest affecting branch operations.
The ongoing bank strike stress is growing as the strike dates are coming closer. The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an advisory on its official X account ahead of the nationwide strike. The nationwide bank strike is set to happen from September 28 to September 30, 2026.
As there are only 5 days left and only 5 working days of banking, SBI has asked and urged its customers to complete all their branch-related work. This advance transaction will avoid inconvenience in future.
This strike is called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). This strike is expected to impact physical banking operations across the country as this is a nationwide strike. Although, all essential digital services and ATMs are likely to remain functional during the period.
