Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor from Mysuru, created the 51-inch idol out of a rock that is three billion years old. The blue-coloured Krishna Shile, sometimes known as black schist, was extracted from Ramdas's Mysuru farm. This sky-blue, fine-to-medium-grained metamorphic rock is commonly referred to as soapstone due to its smooth surface texture, which makes it perfect for idol carving by sculptors.

The Ram Lalla idol will be known as "Balak Ram" as it depicts the deity as a five-year-old boy in a standing posture."The idol of Lord Ram, whose consecration was done on January 22, has been named as 'Balak Ram'. The reason for naming the idol of Lord Ram as 'Balak Ram' is that he resembles a child, whose age is five years," Arun Dixit, a priest associated with the consecration ceremony told PTI.

The Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and the Alavandar Stotram are just a handful of the texts that have been studied and researched in great detail to create the idol's embellishments, according to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. All devotees can witness the grandeur of Ayodhya Ram from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM (Morning Schedule) and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM (noon).
