CUET Exam 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the postponement of Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 exams across Delhi scheduled to be held on May 15 due to a lack of invigilators and accommodation for the aspirants.
What did the Official Statement Say?
“It is being informed to all the concerned candidates and stakeholders that due to unavoidable reasons, the test papers (Chemistry -306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test – 501) which were earlier scheduled on 15 May 2024 stand postponed for the candidates appearing in Centres across Delhi only,” said the official statement. The examination will now be held on the 29th of May 2024. On the issue of the admit card, the officials said, “The revised admit Cards will be issued for candidates appearing in centres across Delhi.”
Delhi is facing a lack of manpower in the territory and needs to reserve invigilators for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Election. There is not enough infrastructure for the sudden influx of aspirants for the exams, which makes it necessary to postpone the same. As per an official statement given by NTA, the agency is facing difficulty in finding an appropriate number of invigilators for Delhi exam centres for the May 15 exam. The agency is blaming the ongoing Lok Sabha elections for this shortage.
