WBJEE 2020 exams cancelled

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has announced the cancellation of the Joint entrance exams for lateral entry to the B.Tech (JELET 2020) and Masters in Computer Applications (JECA 2020) programme. Candidates who have applied for the entrance examinations can visit the official website to check the detailed information.

According to reports, the entrance examination has been cancelled due to the lockdown situation caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

JELET 2020 qualifying exams

With the examinations being cancelled the admissions to the MCA and the lateral entry to the B.Tech and B.pharm programme will be conducted based on the performance of the candidates in the qualifying examinations. The qualifying examinations to be considered for the admissions to the JELET 2020 include Diploma or Bachelors of Science. 

JELET Exams 2020 qualifying exams

The admissions to the JELET Exams 2020 will be conducted for the already registered candidates with centralized online-e-counselling while the admissions to the JECA 2020 will be conducted based on the performance of the candidates in the qualifying MCA exams which include Bachelors of Engineering, B.Tech, B.Sc, BA or any other equivalent degree.

Candidates who have registered for the JECA 2020 exams will be eligible to participate in the centralized online e-counselling for the provisional admissions to the Masters of Computer Applications programme.

The authorities of the WBJEEB will be releasing a detailed notification for the online counselling for the admissions based on the JECA and JELET 2020 examinations. The counselling schedule will be announced and candidates are required to proceed accordingly according to the instructions from the officials.
