Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, Delhi issued a notification announcing a Special recruitment drive for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) for appointment of Resident Doctors under Residency Scheme in the hospital.  Interested candidates should attend the walk-in Interview to be held at the hospital on 4 September 2013.

Senior Residents: 01 Post
Junior Residents (MBBS): 01 Post

Senior Residents: MBBS with a Postgraduate degree / DNB / Diploma or equivalent as per Residency Scheme in concerned specialty. Candidate must have completed an internship and have valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council. The candidate must not have completed 3 years Senior Residency in any institute including regular or Ad-hoc basis.
Junior Residents (MBBS): MBBS. Candidate must be registered with Delhi Medical Council.
Candidate must have not completed one year Junior Residency from any Govt. Hospital.

Age limit
Senior Residents: 40 years
Junior Residents (MBBS): 40 Years

Age will be reckoned as on 1 September 2013. Age relaxation is allowed for PwD candidates as per rules.

Pay Scale
Senior Residents: Pay Band - 3 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600 + other admissible allowances per month.
Junior Residents (MBBS): Pay Band - 3 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400 + other admissible allowances per month.

NOTE: Only Ortho-paedically disabled candidates are eligible to apply.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should report at ‘The Office of Dr. Kulen Das, the Medical Superintendent, Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, E- Block, Jahangirpuri, Delhi-110033’ at 0900 hours on 4 September 2013 -- the day of the interview -- along with their bio-data and self-attested copies of testimonials.

Original certificates / documents will also be required to be produced at the time of interview for verification.

Selected candidates will have to join within 7 days of issue of the offer letter, failing which the offer shall stand automatically cancelled. They shall also have to deposit Rs. 5000 (for Junior Residents) / Rs. 10000 (for Senior Residents) as Security Deposit.

The appointment is to be made under the Residency Scheme and will be on Regular Basis for PwD category candidates. While the appointment for Senior Residents will be for a period of one year extendable up to 3 years on annual basis, the appointment for Junior Residents will be for 6 months extendable up to one year subject to satisfactory work & conduct report.

Appointment will be subject to Medical fitness and verification of required, relevant certificates including DMC registration and internship completion certificates.

Second list for Senior Residents:: In the specialties where no fresh candidates are available, candidates who have completed 3 years Senior Residency but are willing to serve as Senior Residents may also be allowed to appear in the Interview. Separate merit lists for fresh candidates and for others (those who have completed 3 years of residency) would be prepared. Firstly, the list containing names of fresh candidates would be exhausted for appointment as Senior Residents and the second list would be used only after that. Further, all Senior Residents appointments from second list will be for one year only. It would not be renewable after one year.

Second list for Junior Residents (MBBS): Junior Residents who have completed one year of Junior Residency shall also be allowed to appear in the Interview and will be offered residency only if fresh Junior Residents are not available. There would be no extension for any Junior Resident beyond one year of appointment under relaxed provision.

NOTE: For Junior Residents (MBBS), candidate who have completed compulsory Rotatory Internship before 1 September 2011 are not eligible to apply.
