    BPSC Category-Wise Cut-Off
    A large number of candidates appear every year in the prestigious BPSC exam. Due to this much competition, the cut-off fluctuates every year. The BPSC has just declared the result of the 63rd BPSC Preliminary exam. In this article, we shall provide the cut-off of the previous exams conducted by the BPSC so that the candidates can have a fair idea of this year’s cut-off.  Further, in this article, we are giving the category-wise cut-off for the exams held in previous years. This will be very helpful in predicting the safe cut-off score for 64th BPSC.


    In the 63rd BPSC, 4353 candidates have been declared qualified for the Main exam. A total of 90697 candidates appeared in the Preliminary exam. For 63rd BPSC, the cut-off for different category is given below as follows:

    In 60-62nd BPSC, 160086 candidates appeared in the Preliminary exam and out of this, 8282 candidates were declared qualified for the Main exam. For 60-62nd BPSC, the cut-off for different category is given below as follows:

    In 56-59th BPSC, there were 247273 candidates in the Preliminary exam, out of which 28308 candidates were declared qualified for the Main exam. For 56-59th BPSC, the cut-off for different category is given below as follows:

    The cut-off is decided by a number of factors like the number of candidates in the exam, number of vacancies, level of difficulty of the exam, provision of negative marks in the exam etc. One can see the fluctuation in the cut-off every year. Therefore, it is advised to the candidates that they should keep all these factors in their mind that affect the cut-off.
    For the 64th BPSC, the cut-off for the General category is expected to remain between 100 and 105. Though any prediction is difficult yet on analysing the previous trends we can estimate this much marks as the possible cut-off.
