Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent + 2 years ITI certificate in Radio & TV or Electronics OR (10+2) / Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board / Institution.

Visual Standards: Minimum distant Vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without optical devices.
Candidate must pass colour vision test.
Medical Standards: Candidate should be medically fir. He /she should not have Knock knee / flat foot /squint in eyes or any such defect.
Application Fee: OBC candidates need to pay an examination fee of Rs.50 through a crossed Bank demand draft (DD) / Indian Postal Order (IPO) issued / drawn in favour of IG / DIG / Comdt. to whom application is to be addressed, payable at respective SBI/ Post Office.
(SC/ST/BSF candidates/Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees)
Pay Scale: PB-I of Rs.5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400
Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in written examination (Stage I), followed by Documentation, PST, PET, Dictation Test, Interview and Final medical examination (Stage-II – All inclusive).
Eligible candidates selected for written test would be sent their call letters – having Registration number / Roll number -- for appearing in the examination by post. Result of candidates qualifying the written test would be uploaded on BSF website on or before 15 days of commencement of the second phase of recruitment process.
No separate call letters would be issued to the candidates qualifying for the second phase. ‘
Candidates should make their own arrangements for lodging and boarding for the recruitment process that may take 4 to 5 days. No TA / DA will be paid.
First Phase (Written Exam): The 3 hour written exam will be of 200 marks and have objective type questions on Physics, Maths (60 marks each), Chemistry (30 marks) and English & GK (50 marks) . The questions will be of (10+2) standard.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format along with the copies of all the relevant documents / certificates and examination fee DD / IPO to the office of the concerned authority so as to reach the office by the last date.
