CBSE Class 12th English Board exam 2018 was held today (i.e., March 5, 2018) from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Get the complete analysis of the paper. Also get review of students and teachers about this paper.

CBSE Class 12th English Board exam 2018 was held today (i.e., March 5, 2018) from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. CBSE Class 12 Students having English [English Core (301), English Elective – C (101) & English Elective ‒ N (001)] as one of their subjects appeared for the paper with excitement and nervousness.  

The question papers were distributed to students at 10:15 AM. The time allotted to read the complete question paper was 15 minutes i.e. from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM. The examination began at 10:30 AM and continued till 1:30 PM. The examination was conducted smoothly by CBSE without any unwanted incidents. Examination Pattern of Class 12 English (Core):

CBSE Class 12 English (Core) – C, which carried a total of 100 marks, was divided into three sections: Section A, Section B and Section C.

Section A: (Reading Section) 30 Marks

Section B: (Writing Skills) 30 Marks

Section C: (Literature: Textbook and Long Reading Text) 40 Marks

All sections were compulsory. There was no overall choice in the question paper however internal choices were present in some questions. Besides general instructions, separate instructions were provided in some sections and questions.

Main points from the feedback of the students (Delhi Region)

Difficulty level of the question paper was medium

Paper was easier than last year

All the questions in the paper were asked from the syllabus

Paper was a bit lengthy

Some questions were repeated from previous years’ papers

One can easily score 70 to 80 marks

Easy but lengthy:

Most of the students appeared for CBSE Cass 12 English (Core) board exam 2018 admitted that paper was easy but it was a bit lengthy. I started writing answers from section 'C' but was unable to finish the complete paper within 3 hours, a student said. A student named Faizan from 'DAV Public School' said 3 to 4 questions in the paper were asked from previous year papers.

General sense:

There was a sense of satisfaction among students coming out of examination hall. Most of the students were satisfied with the level of questions in the CBSE Class 12 English (Core) paper. The paper was neither easy nor difficult, one student said. Most of teachers and students pointed out that the CBSE English paper covered almost the entire syllabus.
