Few sample questions from the Question Paper are given below:

Q. In a transistor, base is made thin and doped with little impurity atoms. Explain the reason.

Sol. It is done so that there is a better conduction of majority carriers from emitter to collector through base. Due to this reason, the base current is very weak, the collector current is nearly equal to the emitter current. As a result of which, the transistor will give good power and voltage gain.

Q. Name the physical quantity which has its unit Volt-meter, is it a scalar or a vector quantity?

Sol. The physical quantity which has Volt-meter as its unit is Electric flux. It is a Scalar quantity.

Q. Do non-metals show photoelectric effect?

Sol. Yes, when light of very high frequency is used.

Q. What are merits and demerits of satellite communication?

Sol. The Merits of the Satellite Communication are:

1. It has wide coverage

2. The running cost of this type of communication is low.

3. Transmission of data takes place at a very rapid rate

4. It is also used effectively in mobile communication.

The Demerits of Satellite Communication are:
