Eligibility Criteria for Seaman and Other Posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Engineer Mate: Should have passed 10 or equivalent and should have Certificate in Engine Driver Fishing Vessel issued by MMD. 5 years sea experience.

Artisian: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or National certificate of vocational training in craft building. 2 year practical experience in diesel repair/Electrical and Electronic Repair.

Engine Driver/ Tindel: should have passed 8^th and should have 10 year service on sea going vessel.

Launch Mechanic : should have passed 8^th and should have 5 year service on sea going vessel.

Sukhani : should have passed 8^th and should have 7 year service on sea going vessel.

Senior Deck Hand : should have passed 8^th and should have 5 year service on sea going vessel including helmsman and seamanship.

Greaser : should have passed 8^th and should have 3 year service on sea going vessel.

Seaman : should have passed 8^th and should have 3year service on sea going vessel including helmsman and seamanship.
