Delhi Police invited applications from female candidates for filling up 522 temporary posts of Women Constable (Executive) in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200. Interested female candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format till 1 March 2013.

(Upper age limit relax-able for SC / ST candidates by 5 years, for OBCs by 3 years, for Sportswomen – UR / OBC by 5 years and for Sportswomen – SC/ST by 10 years.

Educational Qualification: (10+2) / Senior Secondary from a recognized Board.
11th pass for daughters of serving / retired / deceased Delhi Police personnel / Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2000 + other allowances

Height: 157 cms;
(Relax-able by 2 cms for residents of hill areas and for SC / ST candidates;  by 5 cms, for daughters of serving / retired / deceased Delhi Police personnel / Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.)

Application Fee: Application fee of Rs.100 has to be paid through demand / bank draft / banker’s cheque drawn in favour of ‘DCP / Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi’. 

SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

Selection Procedure: Selection would be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in physical endurance & measurement test and written test

Delhi Police reserves the rights to cancel any centre and ask the candidates of that centre to appear from another centre.  It also reserves the right to divert candidates of any centre to some other centre to take the PE&MT.

Written Test: Candidates qualifying the PE & MT will appear for the Written Test, to be held in Delhi. The one and a half hour written test will have 100 objective type questions of one mark each on Reasoning [35 Marks], General Knowledge / Current Affairs [50 Marks] and Numerical Ability [15 Marks]. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi).

Medical Standards: Minimum distant vision should be 6/12 of two eyes (without glasses) and candidate should not be colour blind, must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, loss / deformity of fingers & chest and joints, Halux valgus, halux rigidus, squint in eyes, bow legs & other deformity including loss of any part of body. No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.  

Bonus Marks: Candidate whose height is 165 cms will be given 1(one) bonus mark.
Candidates possessing NCC 'C' certificate will be given 1(one) bonus mark (Not meant for Ex-servicemen).

How to Apply: Candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format, along with fee demand / bank draft / banker’s cheque and copies of required certificates / documents by ordinary post to ‘Post Box No. 8020, Delhi- 110033.’ On the envelope, candidates should write ‘Application for the post of ____ (name of the post) in Delhi Police-2013.’

Candidates can either use the Application forms printed in the Employment News dated 2 February 2013 or use its photocopy or get it typed, in the prescribed format, or download the form from Delhi Police websites:

Candidates can also fill the application online, available in the “Recruitment” section of the Delhi Police website, and submit it. 

After submitting the form, candidates’ should take its print out and send it along with fee Demand / Bank Draft / Banker's cheque and copies of required documents through ordinary post to “Post Box No.8020, Delhi-110033”. On the envelope, candidates should write ‘Application for the post of ____ (name of the post) in Delhi Police-2013.’

On successful submission of the online Application Form, a system generated Registration No. will appear. Candidates should retain (note it or take a print out of the page) this Registration No. for future use.

Candidates can check the status of their application by login to “My Account” using their Registration No. and other personal information.

Admit Card for PE & MT will be available here for download.
Any correspondence related to the recruitment process like date of examination such as PE & MT, Written Test and their results and Call Letters will be facilitated in applicant's "My Account".
