French B-schools to come in India

Expressing its interest in Indian intelligentsia, a leading B-school of France plans to open its office in India primarily to recruit more students from India, and to establish healthier relationships with Indian companies. Besides, a leading French Engineering School also has plans to start an offshore campus in India next year, revealed sources.
HEC Paris, a topmost business school in France, has put forward the idea of opening an office in India. Currently, the institute offers a wide range of education programs for students as well as leaders.
The Dean of HEC Paris, Prof Bernard Ramanantsoa, said, “We want to open two offices in Asia and India should be one of them. The broader goal of having an international office will be to help companies in France establish better relations with their Indian counterparts. It will also help us recruit more students from India and give placement opportunities in India for our students”.
On the other hand, Ecole Centrale Paris, one of the oldest and prestigious Engineering schools in France, has also planned to establish a world class Engineering College in India in association with the Mahindra Group. To be named as Mahindra École Centrale (MEC), the new engineering college will have its campus in Hyderabad, for which Ecole Centrale Paris will offer academic handholding, and the Hyderabad-based Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) will provide the degrees.
