1.Inspector / Examiner (CBEC)
An Inspector, who is an examiner, has to examine the goods and verify that proper imposing of taxes is levied on moving in or moving out goods in a port.

Appraiser (Group-B gazetted officer) -> Assistant Commissioner -> Deputy Commissioner -> Joint Commissioner -> Commissioner
First promotion is after completion of 3 years’ service. This post is the best among all other posts.

2.Income tax Inspector (ITI)
Income Tax Inspector has to authenticate, check and process income tax records of individuals and businesses. They assess, verify, process IT records of individuals and businesses. They have to undertake the responsibilities of manipulating tax - deductible at source (TDS).

4.Central Excise Inspector (CBEC)

5.Sub Inspector (CBI)

6.Assistant Section Officer (CSS)

An assistant in the MoEA - General do only administrative work like: typing, making reports and updates of current developments, maintaining files, etc. You will get chance of foreign posting within 1.5 to 2.5 years of your joining.

9.Assistant in Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA) – Cypher

14.Inspector - Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN)
