About:
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati, was established by the Central Govt. in PPP mode. IIITG started operations in August 2013. The first batch of B.Tech. students in CSE and ECE has completed one year. The second batch of 60 students will join in July 2014. PhD programmes are likely to be started from January 2015.

Courses offered:
Disciplines – B.Tech in:
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
Each programme admits 30 students. Seats will be filled up on the basis of the All-India Quota of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2014.

ECE: Open (OP): 15, OBC: 8, SC: 5, ST: 2
Eligibility:
The minimum academic qualification for admission is to pass in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one among Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science and Biology as optional subjects. The procedures and other requirements for admission are as per JEE MAIN.
Admission procedure:
Admissions to the B.Tech.programme are made once a year in July through JEE (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education.
