Navy Agniveer Salary 2024: The Indian Navy (IN) has released the notification for the recruitment of Agniveer (SSR and MR) for 02/2024 batch. Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates under Agnipath scheme to join the Navy as an Agniveer.

The selected Agniveer will serve in the Indian Navy for four years. Agniveer in-hand salary will be Rs 21,000 during the first year of service, which will increase yearly. Apart from the salary they will get Rs. 10,04,000 "Seva Nidhi" package at the time of exit after four years.
After completing four years of service 25% of Agniveers will be enrolled as regular carders in the Indian Navy based on organizational requirements.

Indian Navy Agniveer Salary 2024
The salary of a Navy Agniveer is Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in the Indian Navy), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. The details of monthly remuneration and Agniveer Corpus fund breakup are indicated below:-

Terminal Benefits – Seva Nidhi Package
After four years of service, 25% Agniveers will be enrolled as a regular cadre in Indian Navy. The remaining 75% will be eligible to receive ‘Seva Nidhi’ package, which will comprise their contribution to the Agniveer Corpus Fund and the same contribution from the Government of India and interest on the accumulated amount.

So, the Agniveer will get around Rs. 10,04,000 (excluding interest) as the Seva Nidhi package after successfully completing four years of service.
Leaves
The following leave will be granted for Agniveers during their service period.
Annual Leave: 30 days per year
Sick Leave: Based on medical advice.
Medical and CSD Facilities
All the Agniveers will be entitled to medical facilities at service hospitals during their service period. Apart from that they can also avail of the CSD facility
Insurance, Death, and Disability Compensation
Agniveer will be provided non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48,00,000 for the duration of their engagement period as Agniveer in the Indian Navy. Agniveer will not be governed by provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/Rules for the Indian Navy.
Compensation for Death
Agniveer will not be governed by provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/ Rules for Navy(as amended from time to time). In case of death, the following will be admissible to Next of Kin (NOK) from the Agniveer Corpus Fund:-
- Insurance cover as applicable.
- All other compensation is as per the details placed below.
Categorisation of Death
The death for the purpose of provision of financial benefits to Agniveer will be categorised as follows:
Category X: Death due to natural causes neither attributable to nor aggravated by military service during the engagement period.
Category Y: Death due to causes which are accepted as attributable to or aggravated by military service or due to accidents/ mishaps in the performance of duties including training during the engagement period.
Category Z: During the engagement period, death due to acts of violence/attack by terrorists, anti-social elements, enemy, during border skirmishes/war/ peacekeeping operations/ aid to the civil power, etc; and during operational preparation and training for war including battle inoculation training/ exercise; and accidental deaths due to natural calamities/ operations specially notified by the Govt, etc.
Compensation for Disability
In case an individual is placed in a Permanent Low Medical Category (LMC), the authorities will assess the compensation based on the percentage of disability and attributability. The extent of disability or functional incapacity shall be determined in the following manner to compute the disability compensation

Agniveer Skill Certificate
At the end of the service period, a detailed Skill-set certificate will be provided to the Agniveers, highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by them during their engagement period.
