The Lok Sabha Election 2014 comprised Nine Phases of voting, which were set forth on 7 April and cruised on till 12 May. The final counting of vote will be done at 989 centres in total. As stated by the Election Commission, 50 delegates from 20 countries are invited to be the witness of lok sabha elections results 2014.


While the first phase of counting will be zeroed in on Postal ballots, the counting of votes from Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will begin after half-an-hour of it. That is, the counting of postal ballots will be started at 8:00 AM tomorrow, and subsequently, EVM votes counting will begin at 8.30 am, announced the Electronic Commission officials.

The entire process of counting will be properly recorded in video, so that in case of any controversy arise, the video can be used as evidence.
The actual vote counting preparation will start at morning 5am on 16 May, in order to ensure smooth counting process. To avoid any mis-happening, a tight security has been arranged, said the Election Commission.

The Election Commission officials further stated that the poll trends would be known by 11 am and the final results would be out between 3 pm and 4 pm. The first trends are likely to be notified by 8.30 am.
