Question:

If A is a matrix of order 3 × 3, then (A2)-1 is equal to ........  .

Solution:

We know that, (An)-1 = (A-1)n, where nN.

Substituting n = 2 on both sides, we get

(A2)-1 = (A-1)2

Question:

If A is a matrix of order 3 × 3, then the number of minors in determinant of A are ........  .

Solution:

Since, the order of the matrix A is 3 × 3. It means there are 9 elements in the matrix A.

Hence, the number of minors in determinant of A is 9.

Question:

The sum of products of elements of any row with the cofactors of corresponding elements is equal to ........  .

Solution:

NCERT Exemplar Class 12 Maths

= Sum of products of elements of R1 with their corresponding cofactors.

Hence, the sum of products of elements of any row with the cofactors of corresponding elements is equal to value of the determinant.
