Eligibility Criteria for Technical & Non-Technical Posts

Educational Qualification:

• Technical Assistant Gd. III (Chemistry): Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry with Specialization in Analytical / Applied / Industrial / Inorganic / Organic / Physical Chemistry.
• Assistant Rigman (Drilling): Three (3) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Petroleum Engineering.
• Assistant Technician (Mechanical): Three (3) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Assistant Technician (Production): Three (3) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Petroleum Engineering.
• Security Supervisor: Graduate with relevant experience of One Year in the field of Security.
• Junior Assistant Rigman (Drilling): Matric with Science (10th Std.) PASS. ITI Trade Certificate in Fitting / Diesel / Instrumentation / Turner/ Machining / Tractor / Motor vehicle/ Welding / Black smithy / Boiler Attendant / Machinist Grinder.
• Junior Assistant Technician (Diesel): Matric with Science (10th Std.) PASS ITI Trade Certificate in Diesel.
• Junior Assistant Technician (Fitting): Matric with Science (10th Std.) PASS ITI Trade Certificate in Fitting.
• Junior Assistant Technician (Welding): Matric with Science (10th Std.) PASS ITI Trade Certificate in Welding.
• Junior Assistant (Materials Management): B.Sc. With Physics or Maths as one of the subjects with proficiency in Typing 30 w.p.m. Certificate / Diploma of minimum duration of six months in computer applications in the Office environment. Tests apply
• Junior Assistant (Accounts): B. Com. with proficiency in Typing 30 w.p.m. Certificate / Diploma of minimum duration of 6 months in Computer Applications in the Office environment. Tests apply.
• Junior Security Supervisor: Intermediate (12th Std.) PASS 6 months' training/experience in Security.
• Junior Motor Vehicle Driver (HV/Winch): Matric PASS with Valid Driving Licence for Heavy Vehicle and three years driving experience of Heavy Vehicles.
• Junior Fireman: Matriculate (10th Std.) PASS Fireman’s training of three months duration.

Age Limit for Technical & Non-Technical Posts

For All Posts Except Junior Fireman:

• Gen: 18-30 years
• OBC: 18-33 years
• SC/ST: 18-35 years
• PWD: 18-40 for Gen; 18-43 years for OBC; 18-45 years for SC/ST

For Junior Fireman Post:

• Gen: 18-27 years
• OBC: 18-30 years
• SC/ST: 18-32 years
• PWD: 18-37 for Gen; 18-40 years for OBC; 18-42 years for SC/ST

Selection Procedure for Technical & Non-Technical Jobs

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Written Test, Physical Standards measurement Test, Vision Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Heavy Vehicle Driving Skills Test, Typing Test, and in Interview separately and in aggregate, in any sequence as decided by ONGC, for the Post wherever applicable, as per merit and criteria decided by the Management.
