Eligibility Criteria for LDC and Other Posts
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- LDC – Bachelor Degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Minimum speed of 30 word per minute in English & 25 words per minute in Hindi / Urdu typing to be judged by a typing test. At least three month certificate course in Computer operating.
- Assistant Library and Information Officer –Master’s Degree in Arabic / Persian / Medieval Indian History from a recognised University or equivalent (ii) Degree in Library Science and at least 5 years experience of professional work in a library of standing
- Library and Information Assistant – Degree in Arabic / Persian / Medieval Indian History from a recognised University or equivalent. Degree in Library Science. 2 years experience of cataloguing, indexing and related work in a library of standing
- Technical Restorer – B.Sc. Degree with chemistry or physics from a recognised University or equivalent. At least five years experience of working in conservation of manuscripts, records in Govt. recognised institution.
Age Limit:
- LDC – 25 years
- Assistant Library and Information Officer – 35 years
- Library and Information Assistant – 30 years
- Technical Restorer - 30 years
