This year Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited application for total 13464 vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). Eligible Candidates applied for these posts from 2nd January, 2019 till 31st January, 2019 ensuring that they possess/fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification released by RRB. Candidates were required to go through the Post Parameter Table, Vacancy Table and ascertain their eligibility to apply through online mode to any one RRB post only, depending upon their eligibility. The selection of RRB post once exercised shall be final. RRB JE CBT-2 2019 Exam is going to be held from 28th August 2019 till 1st September 2019.

Note:
- Candidates waiting for Final Results of Prescribed Educational Qualification should not apply.
- The options from the candidates for various posts for which they are eligible in the opted RRB, shall be taken during submission of online applications.
- All the candidates with the above qualification shall be tested in the Exam Group mapped as per the above chart. However, candidates with educational qualification of BE/B.Tech (Computer Science) or BE/B.Tech (Information Technology), applying for both the posts of JE(S&T Department) and JE (IT), have to opt for either Electronics and Allied Engineering Exam Group or Computer Science and Information Technology Exam Group.
- The educational qualification for the post of DMS (Depot Material Superintendent) is Three Years Diploma in Engineering, i.e,, a candidate with Three Years Diploma in any of Engineering disciplines, can apply for these posts as applicable.
- Candidates with educational qualifications not figuring in the above chart and eligible for DMS posts have to choose any one of the above listed Exam Groups other than CMA Exam Group, during the registration for online applications.
- A candidate possessing more than one minimum educational qualification, mapped to different Exam Groups, can choose any one Exam Group. These candidates would be eligible for all the posts for which they possess minimum educational qualifications.

MEDICAL STANDARDS FOR THE POSTS
Candidates called for Document Verification will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of Railway staff. The medical requirements against different Medical Standards for different categories are outlined below:

Note:
- The above Medical Standards are indicative and not exhaustive and apply to candidates in general.
- Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgery procedure to correct refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A3, B1 and B2.
- Different Medical Standards shall apply to Ex-Servicemen as detailed in Para 534 of Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) Volume I, which may be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed medical standards for the post(s) they are opting for. Candidates who are found medically unsuitable for the opted post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment.
NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP
(i) A candidate must be either:
a) a citizen of India, or
b) a subject of Nepal, or
c) a subject of Bhutan, or
d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
f) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
(ii) A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
Admission to all stages of recruitment process shall be purely provisional, subject to the candidates satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. RRBs conduct verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidates have qualified in all the stages of examinations. RRBs may reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage of recruitment process, in case the candidate is found to be not fulfilling the requisite criteria, and if appointed, such a candidate is liable to be removed from service summarily. So, the candidates are advised to look thoroughly at the above mentioned eligibility criteria, before applying for RRB JE 2019 Exam.
