On 15 July, the third round of common counseling for admission of students in the Delhi Engineering colleges will take place. Based on All India Rank prepared by the CBSE, giving 40% weightage to the Class 12 marks and 60% to the performance of candidates in the paper I of JEE (Mains) 2016, the counseling will provide streams to the students. Those candidates interested in the B.Arch course will be selected on the basis of their Paper II marks of JEE (Mains) 2016. There will be bonus marks for candidates taking admission in IIITD through the counseling.
The provisional seat allotment of the students will be made based on their scores of the JEE (Mains) and percentage marks acquired in the Class 12 in their respective boards. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the JEE (Mains) examination earlier this year, which is a common single window admission examination to get admission in government sponsored engineering institutes apart from IITs.
In the third round of counseling there will be no fresh registrations. Eligible candidates will be offered specialization according to their merit and will be informed about their possible upgrade in the streams from previous rounds. Though, candidates who have taken admission through the allotted seat in the first round will not be considered for third round of counseling. Only those registered candidates who did not get seat allotment in the first or second round will be considered for the third round.
