IGNOU Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP): The Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar launched the Indira Gandhi National University (IGNOU) Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) on January 10, 2024. The IGNOU FYUP is introduced during the inauguration session of the 2-Day National Seminar on ‘G20 Presidency and India’s Global Leadership Role.
The IGNOU FYUP will allow a student to study one or more specialised areas of interest at an advanced level, across a range of disciplines including sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, languages, and professional, technical, and vocational fields. What Are the Key Features of IGNOU FYUP?
The IGNOU FYUP provide holistic and multidisciplinary education that would develop thoughtful, well-rounded, and creative individuals with intellectual, aesthetic, social, physical, emotional, and moral capacities. The FYUP will enable a student to study one or more specialized areas of interest.
The IGNOU FYUP will allow a creative combination of disciplines for study and offer multiple entry and exit points. As part of the 4-year programme, students may also pursue a degree 'with Research' if they complete a rigorous project in their major area(s) of study.

IGNOU FYUP offers 19 Programmes through Open and Distance Learning (ODL). IGNOU FYUP: Multiple Exit Options
INGOU FYUP offers multiple exit options to the students. The table given below shows the exit options at different levels.

After completing a 3-year bachelor's degree, students who score a minimum CGPA of 7.5 will be allowed to continue studies in the fourth year of the undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor’s Degree (Research).
