UPNEDA 25000 Suryamitra Recruitment 2017: UP Govt to Start Hiring Process for Group ‘B’, ‘C’ & Other
The recently elected government in the state of Uttar Pradesh led by Aditya Nath Yogi has already taken several crucial decisions. In first of its kind the government has decided to hire 25000 youngsters under the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).
The recently elected UP government has decided to hire 25000 youngsters under the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) Suryamitra Skill Development Programme . The aim of this scheme is to provide 25000 youths with government jobs within a short period of two months.
Eligibility to become a Suryamitra
The process to recruit Suryamitras will initially begin with 10000 recruitments. These openings come under the UPNEDA in which candidates will be recruited for Group B, Group C and Marketing Departments Posts. Applicants should hold Graduate and Post Graduate degrees in any discipline to apply for the post. The applicants having Senior Secondary Pass certificate will also be eligible for certain posts. Candidates should be minimum 18 years of age to apply for the same.
Government Plans on Suryamitra Program
Suryamitra Skill Development Programme, an initiative taken by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in 2015 was assigned to National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) to appoint 50,000 Suryamitras by the end of year 2019 throughout the country. It is believed that the notification for government jobs under this scheme will be released in the month of May 2017.
The entire recruitment process will last for a month. The screening and examinations for all the vacancies will be completed by June 2017 after that the selected candidates will undergo departmental training before final allotments strict instructions have been given to officials to have total transparency in the recruitment process.
Career Objective of Suryamitra
The programme started in the year 2015 by NISE has already conducted two such programs and the third batch was underway till July 2016. The jobs to be performed by Suryamitras are related to Design, Component, Procurement, Site Survey, Installation, Commissioning and Operation, & Maintenance of aSolar PV system in EPC projects.
Apart from this, Suryamitras should be capable enough to take up supervisory and managerial posts along with assignments as entrepreneurs for self employment. It is estimated that around 10% from the total candidates should aspire to come up with such assignments.
The job involves to site survey, checks or inspects and if needed implement, configure, test or install and commissions different Photo Voltaic Systems catering to the needs of customers incorporating quality norms complying with applicable codes and safety requirements.
Suryamitra Skill Development Programme will run for duration of 600 hours i.e., 90 days at a stretch. This programme is a residential program and is free of cost that includes training, boarding and lodging. A total of 30 candidates will be selected for each batch.
