UPSC CAPF (AC) 2019 Exam Pattern – 18th August 2019
UPSC CAPF (AC) 2019 Exam consisted of two papers – Paper-1 (250 Marks) and Paper-2 (200 Marks) for total 450 marks. Paper-1 & Paper-2 were conducted in different shift timings. Paper-1 was conducted in offline mode in Objective MCQs format. Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) was also conducted in offline mode in Essay writing format. Also, there was negative marking of 1/3rd marks for wrong answers in Paper-1. Candidates must note that Paper-1 will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-2 will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-1.

After clearing the cut-off marks, students are advised to look at the below points for further selection procedures:
Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests: Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.

Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by UPSC. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks. Candidates who are short-listed for Interview/Personality Test, including those shortlisted for Interview/Personality Test provisionally will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces.
Final Selection/ Merit: The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
