In brief, any graduates who were born not earlier than July 2, 2000, can apply for the UPSC CDS 2 2024 exam. UPSC CDS 2 Age Limit

The UPSC CDS 2 age limit is an important element of the eligibility criteria. The CDS age limit is different for the IMA, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers' Training Academy. Officers' Training Academy (SSC Course for men)

Officers' Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)

Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than July 2, 2000 and not later than July 1, 2006

Note:

  • Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force must submit proof of graduation /provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB. 
  • Candidates who are studying in the final year/semester degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination are also eligible to apply.

CDS 2 Nationality 2024

Another important aspect of the UPSC CDS 2 eligibility criteria 2024 shall be nationality requirements. A candidate must be unmarried and must either be: 

(i) a Citizen of India, or

(ii) a subject of Nepal, or 

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam, intending to permanently settle in India

UPSC CDS 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024-Marital Status

As per the official advertisement, aspirants must be unmarried when applying for the CDS 2 2024 exam. Candidates for the Indian Military Academy Course, Naval Academy Course or Indian Air Force Academy Course or Officers' Training Academy, Chennai, must undertake not to marry till the completion of the full training. 

A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of their application, though successful at this or any subsequent examination, will not be called to appear for training. A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will have to refund all expenditures incurred on them by the Government.

UPSC CDS 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024-Physical Standard

Candidates must be physically fit as per the physical standards for admission to the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2024, as per the instructions mentioned in the official notification. They must ensure that they fulfil all the UPSC CDS physical standard requirements to get shortlisted for the further selection process.

  • The minimum height needed for male candidates for entry into the Armed Forces is 157 cm or as decided by the respective recruiting agency. Gorkhas and candidates belonging to the Hills of the North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, will be accepted with a minimum height of 152 cm. 
  • The minimum height needed for female candidates for entry into the Armed Forces is 152 cm. Gorkhas and candidates belonging to Hills of the North Eastern region of India, Garhwal and Kumaon will be accepted with a minimum height of 148 cm
