Such proof of passing the requisite examination should have been issued latest by the closing date of Detailed Application Form of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2024.

(a) a Citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

• If you have entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living then you cannot apply for the post.

• Candidates who have a spouse living has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall not be eligible for appointment of service; provided that the Central Government may fulfil that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing exempt any person from the operation of this rule.

UPSC CMS Eligibility 2024:  Scribe Facility

• Candidates having less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing will be eligible for the scribe facility, subject to submission of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has limitations on writing and that the scribe is essential to write the exam on his/her behalf from the competent medical authority of a government healthcare institution as per the prescribed format.
• The qualifications of the Commission’s scribe and own scribe must not exceed the minimum qualification criteria of the examination.
• Persons with benchmark disabilities in the categories of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy will be eligible for compensatory time of twenty minutes per hour of the exam.
