UPSC Mains 2021 On Twitter: Essay Paper too Philosophical!
Candidates this time found the essay paper to be extremely philosophical and complained that the paper was way too difficult than the previous years. Take a look at all the topics that were given in Section A below. Candidates had to write an essay between 1000-1200 words for the chosen topic.
- The process of self-discovery has now been technologically outsourced.
- Your perception of me is a reflection of you; my reaction to you is an awareness of me.
- Philosophy of wantlessness is Utopian, while materialism is a chimaera.
- The real is rational and the rational is real.
"When the paper-setter goes through...breakup...this is what Mains essay paper looks like," commented a user on Twitter after seeing this paper. "Seeing the paper I am getting a feeling of 'world is false' and 'I am divine'," IAS officer Awanish Sharan tweeted.
