In the 31st Cherukuri Lenin Sahara senior National archery championship which concluded on 9 February 2011, Jharkhand and Steel Plant Sports Board (SPSB) won the recurve team championships in the men's and women's segments respectively. Jharkhand which had won the title in the 2005 Ernakulam Nationals emerged victorious in the Lenin Sahara senior National archery championship by defeating Indian Railways team 217-215. Asian Games bronze medallist Deepika Kumari helped Steel Plant Sports Board to score a victory against Uttar Pradesh. Indian Railways in the women's section and SPSB in the men's division took the bronze medals while the silver medals went to Uttar Pradesh and Indian Railways in the women’s and men’s category respectively.
In the compound segment host Andhra Pradesh retaining the men's title defeating Assam 216-212 while Indian Railways defeated Punjab to win in the women’s category. Assam and Punjab were placed second in the men’s and women’s category respectively while Manipur and Jharkhand won the bronze medals in the men's and women divisions.
In the individual Olympic round (70m) recurve segment, Services Sports Control Board archer Vishwas won the gold medal defeating Jayant Talukdar of Indian Railways in a closely-fought contest. Deepika Kumari took the honours in the recurve women's segment outshooting Chekrovoli Swuro of Nagaland 6-2.
Manipur's Nikon Mangang overwhelmed Andhra Pradesh's I.R. Sanam 6-2 while Indian Railways' Namita Yadav routed P. Lily Chanu of Manipur 6-0 to bag the compound gold medals in the men's and women's divisions respectively.
