'Buddha in a Traffic Jam' bagged best screenplay award at Madrid film festival

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’ won the Best Original Screenplay award in the Foreign Language Category at the Madrid International Film Festival, Spain, which was held from 2 July – 11 July 2015.

It also had nominations in the categories Best Foreign Language Film and Best Lead Actress in a foreign language film for actress Mahie Gill at the fest.

Earlier, the film was premiered at the 2014 edition of Mumbai International Film Festival in the India Gold category.

Buddha in a Traffic Jam is an unreleased Bollywood film conceptualized and produced by Friday Night Productions (a venture of ISB alumni) and co-produced by Phoenix Multidimensions and Vivek Agnihotri Creates.

The film has been directed by Vivek Agnihotri and stars Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Arunoday Singh, Vivek Vaswani, Aanchal Dwivedi and Mahi Gill.
