Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is preparing to start construction of Shinku-La Tunnel. This tunnel will be constructed for traffic movement under the Shinku-La Pass. It is situated on the Nimu-Padam-Darcha road link. The Shinku-La Pass is located at an altitude of 16,580 ft between the Lahaul Valley of Himachal and the Zanskar Valley of Ladakh.
