Om Birla has been elected Speaker of the Lok Sabha for the second time. He is the sixth Speaker to be elected for the second time.

The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) has set a target of planting 4.5 crore trees for the entire National Capital Region, NCR during the financial year 2024-25 by various concerned bodies in the NCR State Governments. Last year, a target of planting around 3.85 crore new trees was set across the NCR, out of which around 3.6 crore trees were successfully planted during the year.
