The Indian Home Ministry on 1 December 2010 declared its decision of denying visa to former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. The stand was taken by the ministry as it had reservations over allowing him to visit New Delhi in view of his recent anti-India statement. General Musharraf had been invited to be a speaker at a seminar hosted by the Young Presidents Organisation, an international outfit involving influential business leaders on the 4-5 weekend of November 2010. His visa applications in London as well as in Islamabad were rejected by the Indian High Commissions there.
